Mamiche
About This Spot
Step inside Mamiche, a bustling bakery tucked in the heart of Paris’s 9th arrondissement, where the hum of conversation and the scent of freshly baked bread mingle seamlessly. It’s the kind of spot that draws locals and visitors alike, creating a quietly vibrant atmosphere where time moves just a bit slower, and the simple joy of savoring well-crafted pastries feels like an event in itself.
There’s a warmth here that goes beyond the ovens — a sense of care woven into every croissant’s flaky layers and every choux filled with smooth vanilla cream. The pace can feel lively, especially as eager queues form for their baguettes sold at a rare, friendly price, yet the service remains swift, attentive, and genuine. This bakery has a rhythm all its own, where moments of anticipation in line only build the satisfaction of finally taking a bite.
Among the everyday delights are the soft, feather-light croissants that redefine the classic expectations of French pastry, alongside chocolate-filled beignets that seem to melt effortlessly on the tongue. Sandwiches made with fresh, crusty bread balance out the sweeter fare, offering welcoming pauses for those seeking a savory note amid their indulgences.
Walking out with a carefully chosen assortment, whether an almond croissant or a neatly wrapped ham and cheese sandwich, visitors carry a little piece of the neighborhood’s spirit with them—something honest, warm, and unmistakably Parisian. Mamiche never feels overly polished or distant; instead, it embraces the beauty in everyday rituals, where pastry is not just food but a quietly celebrated moment shared between hands, eyes, and the city around them.

One of my favorite boulangeries in Paris! Their brioche is truly some of the best I’ve had ,and the choux à la vanille, which is exceptional. And the beignets au chocolat? Absolutely my favorite. A must-visit for pastry lovers!

Everything is… wow… so good in this bakery. Excellent service, the personnel is friendly and organized. The pastries are incredible, the sandwiches are delicious. This is not so pricey and they even sell the famous French baguette for one euro (try and find that anywhere in Paris). The only drawback is that they have become so famous that you have sometimes tip make a long line to get a treat.

I’ve had many great croissants in my life, but the one from Mamiche recalibrated all my expectations. It was impossibly light and flaky, with the perfect degree of chewiness. I also loved their jambon buerre sandwich.

This bakery is definitely worth the hype it gets! There is always a queue but the service is very fast so it’s worth the wait. The pain au chocolat and the chocolate filled donut were the highlights. The only con is the pastries weren’t warm so therefore it’s a 4/5. But it’s a great place to start your trip in Paris I didn’t get the chance to try the sandwiches but they looked amazing too. Amazing prices as well, we paid €11 for 4 pastries!

This is one of the best boulangerie in Paris! The pastries are great! Tries many of those: the cream filled pastry, the ham and cheese sandwich, banka. Specifically- the vanilla cream filled pastry is by far one of the best (and in great price!). Must try!

Stumbled across this bakery with a bit of a queue during lunch hour. The sandwich was fresh and tasty, and the choux à la crème vanille were delicious and reasonably priced (1.5EUR each). Would recommend

Cannot reccomend this spot enough. Always has a line (which moves quickly) and rightfully so! Savory and sweet goodies - something for everyone. The staff is friendly and patient as you decide what treasure to eat. They are happy to explain in French and English and will even toast the sandwiches for you. This is my second time coming here and I will return my next time in Paris.
